Vintage 18k Yellow Gold Diamond and Ruby Sculptural Horse Ring

A sculpted horse’s head rises from the curved shank of this vintage 18k yellow gold ring, its elongated muzzle, upright ears, and arched neck forming a dimensional equestrian composition. Fine incised lines follow the contours of the face and neck, suggesting the texture and direction of the horse’s coat. Rubies totaling 0.02ctw accent the eyes beneath defined gold brows. Sweeping sections of mane extend across the forehead and shoulders, with white-faced settings holding diamonds totaling 0.03ctw. The mane’s raised curves contrast with the finely textured gold surfaces, while the neck tapers into a smooth interior shank. Dating circa 1960–1980, the ring combines sculptural animal modeling with small gemstone accents.
