A dimensional floral spray brings together pink conch pearls, lustrous pearls, and approximately 4ctw of diamonds in this circa 1940s pendant brooch. A baroque pearl forms the center of the large blossom, surrounded by curling, pierced petals set with round brilliant and single cut diamonds, with baguette cut diamonds radiating outward like stamens. A sweeping gold stem curls around the flower, carrying pearl buds and pointed diamond-set leaves in an asymmetrical composition. Eleven conch pearls ranging from 5–10mm introduce soft pink color, while additional pearls measuring 5–11mm provide contrasting luster and varied rounded forms. The sculptural 18k yellow gold mounting gives the arrangement depth, with open spaces separating the overlapping botanical elements. A hinged 14k gold pin with a safety catch secures the brooch, while an articulated bail concealed on the reverse allows it to be worn as a pendant.
