Antique 13k Yellow Gold Diamond Snake and Shooting Star Ring

A sculptural snake encircles an elongated oval plaque in this antique 13k yellow gold ring, framing a diamond-accented shooting star. The serpent’s polished body curves around the perimeter, with its defined head resting at the upper right and its tapering tail curling inward at the upper left. A bezel-set round brilliant-cut diamond punctuates the star, while raised, tapered rays sweep across the finely textured gold ground. The contrast between the stippled center and smooth serpent gives the composition depth and definition.
