18k White & Yellow Gold Amethyst, Diamond, Plique-à-Jour Enamel Orchid Brooch

Undulating enamel petals surround a pear cut amethyst weighing approximately 7ct in this vintage Art Nouveau revival orchid brooch. Pale plique-à-jour enamel fills irregular gold cells outlined in violet, creating a mosaic that follows the curled and overlapping petals. Round brilliant cut diamonds totaling 3.35ctw trace the petals’ central veins and scalloped edges, continuing along a sweeping stem that loops behind the blossom. Three sculpted, diamond-set gold prongs hold the deep purple amethyst above the flower’s center, adding height to the layered composition. The 18k white and yellow gold construction combines bright diamond settings with a warm gold framework, visible across the open reverse. A hinged double-pin fitting secures the brooch.
