Vintage Platinum Step Cut Rubies Half Set Band Ring

Square step cut rubies totaling 0.65ctw form a continuous ribbon of red across the upper half of this vintage platinum band. Set closely together within a channel, the stones create a crisp geometric arrangement bordered by narrow platinum edges. Their stepped facets give the ruby row an orderly rhythm, while the cool white metal provides a clear contrast to their rich color. At either end of the gemstone setting, angled shoulders transition into a knife-edge shank, whose central ridge adds definition to the plain portion of the band. Openings beneath the rubies reveal the individual settings, providing structural interest on the interior.
