Vintage Bulova U.S. 1917-H Sub Second Dial Men's Military Watch

However, the silver dial and non-hacking sub-seconds configuration distinguish it from those more commonly encountered military models. Many Bulova historians believe the 1917-H may represent an earlier production example, with some suggesting its development could date to the closing years of the Second World War, though its exact origins remain somewhat unclear. Like the MIL-W-3818A, the 1917-H is understood to have been issued as a “general use” timepiece, as the absence of a hacking function would have limited its suitability for more technical or aviation-specific applications.
