An oval amethyst cabochon weighing 18.3ct is the centerpiece of this vintage 16k white gold pendant. Its high, rounded dome displays the stone’s purple color within a broad, polished gold surround. Four rounded prongs secure the amethyst, leaving most of its surface exposed. Elongated openings along the gallery and an open reverse reveal the stone’s profile and underside. A tapered bail with a central ridge joins the pendant through a circular connecting ring, completing the understated design.
