Vintage 10k Yellow Gold Carved Jade Pendant

Two contrasting jade carvings form the tiered composition of this vintage 10k yellow gold pendant, pairing a green upper panel with a larger white jade medallion below. The upper carving has a gently arched, scalloped outline, with pierced botanical ornament surrounding an elongated central motif. The lower panel features stylized birds with sweeping tails arranged among curling foliage, its openwork lending lightness to the broad silhouette. Incised details define the birds and leaves, complementing the softly rounded relief surfaces. Contoured gold frames follow the edges of both carvings, with small retaining prongs securing the jade while leaving the pierced designs visible from either side. Two connecting links articulate the lower medallion beneath the upper panel, and an oval gold bail completes the pendant.
