A domed round cabochon moonstone weighing 13.5ct forms the luminous center of this Victorian brooch. A close border of rose cut diamonds traces its circular outline, punctuated at regular intervals by six cultured pearls measuring 3mm. The diamonds’ faceted crowns provide small reflective flashes around the moonstone’s broad, softly glowing surface, while the pearls add a contrasting luster. Silver-topped construction places the diamonds in a white metal setting above a warm 14k rose gold reverse. A pierced gallery of repeating scalloped openings gives definition to the brooch’s profile beneath the gemstone surround. The open reverse exposes the back of the moonstone, with a hinged pin and C-shaped catch completing the construction.
