Antique Victorian 18k Gold and Silver Diamond and Enamel Floral Banner Pendant

A finely hand-painted floral banner forms the centerpiece of this antique Victorian pendant in 18k yellow gold and silver, likely dating to the late 19th century. Against a blue ground, a woven basket overflowing with roses and colorful flowers hangs from a pink ribbon, framed by trailing ivy and coral hued borders with gold-colored scroll accents. A 4.7mm pearl crowns the banner beneath a fan-shaped arrangement of rose cut diamonds. Diamond-set festoons sweep across the upper portion, with small floral settings echoing the painted decoration. Articulated diamond dangles at the sides and along the scalloped lower edge bring movement to the composition. The reverse reveals a gold backing and a long pendant bail rising behind the pearl and diamond crest.
