Antique Octava Sterling Silver 8 Day Travel Desk Clock mono "EH" - for Repair
This elegant early 20th century travel clock is housed in a finely crafted octagonal sterling silver case with a hinged cover. The exterior features hand-engraved scrolling foliate decoration framing a central oval cartouche engraved with the monogram “EH.” The stepped, faceted form gives the piece a refined architectural presence when displayed open. The interior reveals a white enamel dial marked “8 Days” and “Swiss,” with stylized Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. The clock is mounted within a geometric openwork silver frame, allowing it to stand securely when the case is opened. The underside and interior are hallmarked for sterling silver. The case shows patina throughout. The movement is currently not functioning and the clock is being sold for repair or parts. A handsome and substantial antique travel desk clock with classic Art Deco-era styling, ideal for restoration or display within a horological or silver collection.
