$11,995.00
A 2.55ct old mine brilliant cut diamond anchors the elongated, domed composition of this Edwardian platinum ring, its deep cognac tones contrasting with the surrounding white diamonds. GIA identifies the center diamond as natural, with natural Fancy Dark Orangy Brown color and I2 clarity. Its cushion-shaped outline, broad facets, and prominent culet display the distinctive character of old mine cutting. Above and below, bezel-set old European brilliant cut diamonds weighing 0.60ct and 0.57ct are matched in their GIA grades of J color and VS2 clarity. Single cut diamonds fill curling foliate scrolls and pointed leaflike panels, with fine milgrain borders tracing the intricate platinum framework. Pierced openings separate the decorative elements, giving the substantial face the lace-like quality associated with Edwardian jewelry, while an open gallery reveals the deep pavilion of the central diamond. Individual GIA reports accompany all three principal stones.
